Can OpenDeck and Elgato's Stream Deck app run at the same time?

No. Both try to control the deck. Quit Elgato's app and remove it from startup before opening OpenDeck.

My Stream Deck doesn't show up in OpenDeck.

Make sure Elgato's app isn't running, then restart OpenDeck with the deck plugged in. Try a different USB port, ideally directly on the PC rather than a hub.

Where does OpenDeck keep its logs?

In %appdata%\opendeck\logs\. You can also open the folder from OpenDeck's Settings.

How do I uninstall OpenDeck?

Open Settings › Apps › Installed apps, find OpenDeck and choose Uninstall. Delete %appdata%\opendeck too if you want your profiles gone.

Does it work on Windows on ARM?

The installer offered here is for 64-bit Intel and AMD PCs. There's no Windows ARM build in this release.

Install

Download OpenDeck_2.14.2_x64-setup.exe (16 MB).
Run it. If Windows SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway.
Open OpenDeck from the Start menu and plug in your Stream Deck.

If Elgato's app is installed

Only one program can control the deck. Before starting OpenDeck:

Right-click the Stream Deck icon in the system tray and choose Quit.
Open Task Manager › Startup apps and disable Stream Deck, so it doesn't start with Windows.

You don't have to uninstall it. To go back, quit OpenDeck and start Elgato's app again.

Installing plugins

Open the Plugins tab. There are three sources:

Open-source plugins: 220 plugins downloaded from their authors' releases.
Elgato App Store archive: plugins archived from Elgato's old App Store.
Install from file: any .streamDeckPlugin file you have.

Setting up keys

Drag an action from the list onto a key.
Left-click a key to open its settings.
Right-click › Edit to change its image and text for each state. Click the image to choose a file; right-click it to reset.
Right-click › Delete to remove it.

Profiles

Switch devices and profiles from the menus at the top right. Name a profile Games/Valorant to put it in a Games folder. You can also set a profile to switch on automatically whenever a specific app's window is active.

Troubleshooting

Deck not detected: quit Elgato's app, restart OpenDeck with the deck connected, and try another USB port.
A plugin doesn't work: update OpenDeck and the related app (OBS, Spotify, Discord), then check the plugin's log.
Logs: %appdata%\opendeck\logs\, or open them from Settings. Include the log with any bug report.
Still stuck: report it to the OpenDeck project with your log and the steps that cause it.
