Install on Windows

About two minutes. Nothing else to install first.

  1. Quit Elgato's Stream Deck app

    If it's installed, right-click its tray icon and choose Quit, then disable it in Task Manager › Startup apps.

  2. Extract the zip and run the installer

    Right-click OpenDeck_2.14.2_x64-setup.zip and choose Extract All, then run OpenDeck_2.14.2_x64-setup.exe. If SmartScreen appears, click More info, then Run anyway.

  3. Plug in your Stream Deck

    Open OpenDeck from the Start menu. Your deck appears in the device menu at the top right. If it doesn't, restart OpenDeck once.

  4. Add plugins

    Open the Plugins tab and install what you need. Recommended plugins.

On Linux?

For Linux, this site recommends StreamController, a free app made for Linux desktops. One zip with an install script for Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora and Arch.

Is this the official OpenDeck installer?

Yes. The zip contains the unmodified OpenDeck_2.14.2_x64-setup.exe from the OpenDeck 2.14.2 release. The installer's SHA-256 checksum is 928a9991373e6ee1f5aa2fad03c3058eb621a2d032b5c815d04a78a0f0fd26b0, which matches the checksum published with the release.

How do I check the checksum on Windows?

Extract the zip, open PowerShell in that folder and run Get-FileHash OpenDeck_2.14.2_x64-setup.exe. The result should match the SHA-256 shown on this page.

Windows SmartScreen says it protected my PC. What do I do?

SmartScreen warns about apps it hasn't seen often. Click More info, check the publisher and file name, then Run anyway.
