What every deck gets

What needs the right hardware
Dials and the touch strip exist only on the Stream Deck + and + XL, and the Studio has two dials. The Pedal has no screens, so image settings don't apply to it.
Does the Stream Deck Neo work without Elgato's app?
Yes. OpenDeck supports it on Windows and StreamController on Linux. The eight keys work like on any other deck. If the info bar or touch points don't do what you expect, update to the latest version, since Neo support has been extended over several releases.
Does the Stream Deck Pedal work without Elgato's app?
Yes. Each of the three pedals is treated like a key without a screen, so you assign actions to them the same way.
Do the original and MK.2 Stream Decks behave differently?
Not in practice. Both have 15 keys in a 5 × 3 grid and use the same layout in the app.
Can I use two Stream Decks at the same time?
Yes. Each connected deck gets its own pages, brightness, wallpaper and screensaver. Pick which one you're editing from the selector at the top of the window.
Does the Stream Deck Studio work on Windows without Elgato's app?
Not in OpenDeck at the moment; it isn't in OpenDeck's device list. On Linux, StreamController supports it.
What about Stream Deck clones?
On Windows, OpenDeck supports the Mirabox 293S and Ulanzi D200 through community device plugins you install from its plugin list. On Linux, StreamController supports them experimentally; connect them before starting the app.
