Plugin questions

How do I install a StreamController plugin?

Open the store from the app's menu, pick the Plugins tab, and click install. The plugin's actions appear in the action list on the right of the main window, ready to drag onto a key.

Do Elgato Stream Deck plugins work on Linux?

Not in StreamController. Plugins for Elgato's app are built against Elgato's SDK and don't load here. Most popular ones have a StreamController equivalent: OBS, Spotify, Discord, Home Assistant and Twitch all do.

What does the official badge mean?

It marks a plugin made by the StreamController maintainer. Everything else in the store is written by the community and reviewed before it's listed.

Can I write my own plugin?

Yes. Plugins are written in Python, starting from the official template. Plugin development overview.
